The F-35 stealth fighter sure is expensive, but when a weapon like this is so dominant it won’t come cheap

The F-35 stealth fighter sure is expensive , but when a weapon like this is so dominant it won’ t come cheap . And it seems not the F-35 now has a new trick up its sleeve: it can help ĸιll cruise missiles, as explained by an expert: In a recent training exercise, an F-35A showed off its data collection and targeting skills by helping a Patriot air defender system destroy a practice cruise missile. This shows that the U.S. Army and Air Force can work together for missile defense in an interesting partnership showing off two advanced systems. This is the first time the Patriot and F-35A have acted together for a common goal. What Transpired? The test happened on June 15 in Palau – a Micronesia nation in the western Pacific Ocean. The air defense system was an older PAC-2 model that consisted of two launchers. It was the first time a Patriot and F-35A displayed their mettle in a live-fire exercise outside of the United States. The target was a drone masquerading as a cruise m...

The B-21 Raider first bomber of 21st century and the US Air Force’s next stealth bomber, will be unveiled to the public for the first time in early December, Air Force acquisition chief Andrew Hunter said Tuesday. Andrew Hunter, assistant secretary of the U.S. Air Force revealed at the 2022 aviation, space and network conference that the first B-21 “Raider” program will debut at the end of this year, which is confirmed by the manufacturer Northrop Grumman, which means that this new bomber , since its launch in 2014, is about to usher in the “harvest time”. As the successor to the B-2’s wing-layout stealth strate...

The reasons behind Israel’s refusal to fly the F-22 Raptor stealth fighter

Image
Israel wants the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, but they are unlikely ever to procure the fifth-generation fight er. The U.S. sends more Military aid to Israel than to any other country. Washington dispensed over $11 billion in Military aid to foreign countries in 2020, and $3.3 billion went to Israel. Only two other countries received more than $1 billion: Afghanistan – a nation the U.S. occupied for two decades – and Egypt.  A Preferred Partner Israel was not always the primary benefactor of U.S. military aid. In the early 1960s, the U.S. sought to limit foreign arms distribution in the Middle East. But after the Six-Day War, U.S. policy toward Israel changed significantly. The conflict showed that several Arab states had aligned themselves with the Soviet Union. Washington wanted to balance Soviet power in the Middle East, so the U.S. made a strategic choice to bolster Israel’s Military enough to give it a qualitative edge in the region. Accordingly, the U.S. began ...

China increases J-20 production to compete with American stealth fighters

Image
It is unclear how much longer the United States and its allies can sustain its now distinct fifth-generation airpower advantage China is ramping up mass production of its J-20 fifth-generation stealth fighter at a pace that seems to reflect a desire to com Pet e with or rival the U.S. Navy’s fifth-generation air power projection capacity. “More J-20s have been commissioned across all the eastern, southern, western, northern and central parts of China, have flown greater distances, and are playing increasingly important roles,” the Chinese government-backed Global Times newspaper says. While only a land-launched stealth fighter, a J-20 would certainly be within reach of Taiwan and other critical areas throughout the Pacific theater, something which would be extended by the use of PLA-Air Force YU-20 tanker aircraft able to refuel J-20s launched from mainland China. “With the successful development of the domestic engine, the J-20 has entered mass production, and ...

The stealth aircraft YF-118G, often known as the Bird of Prey, altered history

Image
The Paramount+ streaming service could practically rebrand itself “Star Trek TV” – although it is also the home to the acclaim  Yellowstone  prequel  1883.  Fans of the  Star Trek  series are likely familiar with the Klingon “Bird of Prey,” which remains one of the most common fictional starships to appear in the franchise. It was first introduced in the 1984 film  Star Trek III: The Search for Spock , and has appeared in five of the films and frequently appeared in  Star Trek: The Next Generation  and  Deep Space Nine. The ship has been a fan favorite, which explains why a very real yet experimental air craft developed by McDonnell Douglas and Boeing in the 1990s received the moniker “Bird of Prey.” Unlike the Klingon ship, the Boeing YF-118G doesn’t feature a “cloaking device” to make it invisible to the naked eye as well as scanners, yet the black project air craft was in fact developed to demonstrate stealth Technology . As part of a secret project that ran from 199...
