The Hummer You Don’t Mess With is E-2 Hawkeye

Image
The Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye is the Navy’s all-weather, carrier-based tactical battle management airborne early warning, command and control aircraft. The E-2 is a twin engine, five crewmember, high-wing turboprop aircraft with a 24-foot diameter radar rotodome attached to the upper fuselage. Designed in the 1950s, the E-2 first flew in 1960 before entering service in 1964. The E-2 has been in production, in one variant or another, continuously since 1960 – giving the E-2 the longest production run of any carrier-based aircraft ever. The E-2, which uses twin turbo-prop engines, also has earned the nickname “Hummer”, due to the distinct humming sound the prop engines make – which is easily discernible from the roar of a carrier’s jet engine fleet. In addition, the sequel of new movie “Top Gun: Maverick”, featuring E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, even for a brief moment, makes a strong impression. To make the massive A400M takeoff vertically, Airbus spent $1 billion

Image
The A400 was never intended for verticle capability. It was designed to have short field takeoff and landing. It is a very capable aircraft. JATO has not been used on US C130 aircraft since the H model C130 was introduced in 1974. The H model -15 engines create the same power as the E models -7 engined aircraft with JATO. However, there are a few special models that still use JATO, but they are few and highly specialized. Although I’m a big fan of the C130, I must admit that it’s starting to grow a bit in the teeth now and needs replacing. A400M is a perfect replacement. It is very similar in appearance to the A400 but with greatly improved performance in all aspects! I remember seeing it fly for the first time a few years ago and was absolutely amazed and impressed! The A400M will make a long and interesting History during its service life! The most interesting thing about the A400M is that it’s the only aircraft designed by Airbus that isn’t ugly. The A220 is Airbus’ only ...

A global ripple effect is brought about by the installation of 4.0 technology on the Dassault Rafale fighter

Image
Over the last decades, air forces have always been the first Military component engaged in all crises or conflicts, from the Falklands to the Gulf, from Bosnia to Kosovo, from Afghanistan to Libya, and more recently Mali, the Central African Republic, Iraq and Syria. Military aviation is undoubtedly the most strategic weapon today, both in terms of combat effectiveness and of critical technologies implemented. In modern warfare, air dominance from day one is a must, so that air-to-ground and air-to-sea operations can be conducted safely and efficiently. In the course of asymmetrical and counter-insurgency conflicts, the air arm also remains at the forefront of the Military effort, its flexibility and firing power helping ensure that allied forces prevail.  Image The September 11 events have shown that, in peacetime, it is essential to secure the national airspace with easily deployable control and air defense assets. The decisive place of the air component in...

See This New US Helicopter That Shocked China And Russia

Image
It is certain that there are many capable and dangerous Military attack helicopters in the world, but what is the best of the best? The two most capable and lethal attack helicopters are undoubtedly the Boeing AH-643 Apache Guardian that serves for the USAF and the Kamov Ka-52 Alligator that is operated by the Russian Air Force. It would be pretty interesting to find out which is the most powerful and advanced helicopter out of these two. The Lockheed Martin Sikorsky-Boeing contender for the US Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) programme has completed a new flight milestone. ATAK – Only two nations use the most advanced helicopters in the world

Image
Deliveries under the T129 ATAK program to the Philippines have begun. The first T129 ATAK helicopter s, manufactured by TAI for the Philippine Air Force, took off on March 8, Bulgarian Military .com has learned, citing SavunmaSanayiST.com. ATAK helicopter s, which were transferred to the command of Murted Airport, located right next to the TAI facilities, were loaded on two A400M cargo planes of the Turkish Air Force and transferred to Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.  ATAK  Two A400Ms with flight codes TUAF209 and TUAF210 of the Turkish Air Force refueled at Bishkek airport, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, during the delivery trip. After refueling, the planes were transferred to Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. The Philippines, which sold six ATAK helicopter s for approximately $ 280 million, will be the second country after Turkey to start using ATAK helicopter s. Sources suggest that three or four ATAK helicopter s were delivered to the Philippines with this del...

The world was ѕһoсked by the B-2 Spirit’s appearance after an upgrade

The B-2 Spirit is a ɩow-observable, strategic, long-range, heavy ЬomЬeг capable of penetrating sophisticated and dense air-defeпѕe shields. It is capable of all-altitude аttасk missions up to 50,000ft, with a range of more than 6,000nm unrefuelled and over 10,000nm with one refueling, giving it the ability to fly to any point in the world within hours. The Northrop (later Northrop Grumman) B-2 Spirit, also known as the Stealth ЬomЬeг, is an American heavy strategic ЬomЬeг, featuring ɩow observable stealth  Technology designed for penetrating dense anti-aircraft defenses. Designed during the Cold wаг, it is a flying wing design with a crew of two. The ЬomЬeг is subsonic and can deploy both conventional and thermonuclear weарoпѕ, such as up to eighty 500-pound class (230 kg) Mk 82 JDAM GPS-guided bombs, or sixteen 2,400-pound (1,100 kg) B83 пᴜсɩeаг bombs. The B-2 is the only acknowledged aircraft that can carry large air-to-surface standoff weарoпѕ in a stealth configuration....

Happens When a Pilot Misses the Landing on US Aircraft Carriers

Image
Excellent with all the measures taken to make it extraordinarily clear and informative. For them, Business is Business . The leap forward in Science and Technology and its application in defense is astounding. Those aircraft carrier pilots are very well trained, BEFORE they are assigned to a carrier. They have practiced the short landing on the ground, they know hot to “bolter” of they miss one of the grab-cables, so very rarely is there a bad landing.  Of course if the aircraft has been in combat and has damage, they handle that too, the best way they know how.  It isn’t often that an aircraft landing goes off the deck, they prepare for that also, but should their damaged aircraft miss the cables and can’t bolter, there is a net that can be quickly spread across the opposite end of the carrier to catch them, because it’s always possible that an aircraft took damaging enemy fire and has any number of problems getting that bird safely on the deck!  But they are very good at wha...
