Many great aircraft such as the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird retired, yet lightning-fast engineering marvels remain in service today including fighter jets you can buy for less money than a new Ferrari.

J-10 Fighter Jet Vigorous Dragon

Meant for both air-to-air combat and strike missions, the Chengdu J-10 can achieve Mach 2.2 thanks to the Russian Lyulka-Saturn AL-31FN engine. Dubbed the Vigorous Dragon, it’s believed there are 240 active today.

US Marine Plane Disappears During Exercise In Norway

WASHINGTON – Norwegian authorities on Friday searched for an US Marine Corps airplane that went missing during a drill. The Norwegian Military said in a declaration that the Marine Osprey was reported missing out on Friday evening when it did not make an arranged arrival at the Arctic Circle community of Figure. North Norway’s Civilian Joint Rescue Coordination Center released a search as well as rescue operation. Late Friday, the Norwegian Military stated the “exploration was made from the air” south of Bod, adding, “As a result of climate condition, it was not feasible to get in the website from the air.” The Marine Corps stated on Twitter, “We can confirm a case has happened including a Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey airplane.
